This replicated Breton Bed has been manufactured at our joinery workshop and constructed with solid Oak timber. The head board and foot board are Oak panels set into the Oak framework. The pre-curved laminated slats, Birch timber are set into rubber cushion sockets incorporated into the 250mm deep Oak bed rails.
The embellishments include hand carved panels to the head and foot board, half finials to the bed rails, ensures the elegance that a bed of this design requires.
Connections to the bed rail of the head and foot board are sherardised steel, allowing for pre-built furniture to be taken apart for transportation and quickly re-assembled on site.
The finish to this decorative piece of furniture was stained and lacquered before waxing. Another alternative would be to wax the Natural Oak to bring out the natural grain.
